Wingate Warriors exceed fundraising goal for Relay for Life

The Wingate Warriors set on a mission for the second year to support the American Cancer Society at Relay for Life of Bellefonte, held this year at Bald Eagle Area’s Alumni Stadium. They did it in memory of a former employee at Wingate Elementary School who lost her life to cancer.
During the two-day event on May 17-18, the group, made of employees from Wingate Elementary, raised $3,902 – crushing their goal of $1,000, and ranking as the seventh top team in fundraising efforts at the event.
In total, Relay for Life of Bellefonte raised $82,254.38. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
