Garden to Table

Students at H.W. Good Elementary School in Yough School District are learning by getting their hands dirty – in the garden, that is. Third- and fourth-graders have had the opportunity to increase their science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills in a variety of ways using a learning garden. Students started by planting in April. During the summer, the produce and herbs began to blossom. In September, students picked the produce and herbs from the school garden and learned how to turn them into a healthy, delicious meal.
