One of the goals of Westmont Hilltop School District is to prepare each and every student for success in a changing and competitive global society. A grantee of Pennsylvania’s Classrooms for the Future (CFF) initiative, Westmont Hilltop School District received nearly $250,000 dollars for technology coaches and equipment to more effectively integrate advanced technology tools in classrooms. Equipment purchases ranged from laptops and mobile carts to Promethean Boards and wireless access points. The district utilized special CFF pricing to purchase additional technology and received a separate local grant for a pilot project that incorporated the use of electronic responders in the middle school. The responders provide teachers with immediate feedback of students’ understanding of key concepts. To read more about successes like this one, see the district’s website.
