Pequea Valley High School’s TRIBE

Pequea Valley School District takes great pride in going above and beyond the call of duty to provide our learners with a wide range of challenging and exciting educational opportunities. One of the programs we have begun developing to allow our learners to learn outside the traditional walls of the classroom is TRIBE, or Teaching Resiliency to Students by Experiences. This is an elective class that incorporates physical education, history and biology through experiential learning. This year’s group will be earning Red Cross certifications in CPR and basic first aid, and will then be completing a 45 mile section of the Appalachian Trail from south of Gettysburg to Harper’s Ferry. Learners will be carrying all needed gear, food, and water for the duration of the trek.
