Career Fair shows students the possibilities

Riverside Middle School hosted the annual Career Fair on May 4. According to an article on the district website, the event is designed to made the seventh- and eighth-graders more aware of the variety of career fields available. Local businesspeople, including some Riverside graduates, were invited to speak to the students about their professions. More than 30 people presented including individuals from these areas: aviation, cosmetology, manufacturing, surgical medicine, military, veterinary science, mental health, law, police, fire station, metallurgy and more.
