Students produce a video version of the announcements called WRAM-TV

Students in the media broadcasting class at Rochester Area High School are getting hands-on experience while keeping the public informed about school happenings. The class produces a video version of the announcements called WRAM-TV, taking turns with different roles such as director, technical director, audio engineer, camera operator, teleprompter and on-screen talent, to learn all aspects of production. The broadcasts are available online. In addition to announcements, the program includes celebrity birthdays, weather, lunch menu, local and national sports update and a “Special Day with Mr. D,” which highlights special days throughout the year.
